Prices below are per person, based on double occupancy. The price per person will depend on the size of the group. Prices below do not include airfare from the U.S. to Greece but does include the flight from Santorini to Athens on May 22. (Cost of included flight from Santorini to Athens is subject to change.)

  • Travel Director: Services of a professional English speaking Travel Director throughout. Local Experts where required and as noted on the itinerary.
  • Accommodations: Based on twin share in hand-picked hotels. Hotels are to be used as a guide only and are subject to availability and change at the time of booking. If the quoted hotel is unavailable, we will secure another hotel in the same category as similar as possible. No early check in/late checkout included.
  • Sightseeing and meals: All included as per the itinerary. Please note that breakfast taken before 7 a.m. or within the room may incur a supplement.
  • Flight from Santorini to Athens: On May 22, 2020.
  • Service charges: Tips to restaurants where a meal is included by Insight Vacations. Service charges and local taxes on services provided by Insight. (Except local airport and border taxes).
  • Transportation: Exclusive use of air-conditioned coach (subject to conditions). Arrival and departure transfers are based on one group arrival and one group departure transfer. Should members of the group require transfers outside these times, they will have to make their own transport arrangements. Private transfers may be offered at additional charge. *A 40 passenger motorcoach will be requested and booked based upon availability.
  • Porterage: One piece of luggage per person, in and out of hotels provided by Insight.

Travel Itinerary

Day 1: MAY 13, 2020, ARRIVE IN ATHENS

An Insight host will meet you at the airport as you take your one group transfer to the hotel, where there is time to settle in and relax. Private transfers for a fee can also be arranged. At 19:00, join your Travel Director for a Welcome Reception, get to know your fellow travelers over a delightful evening of dinner and wine.

Day 2: MAY 14, 2020, ATHENS, CITY OF GODS

Your exploration reveals the Temple of Olympian Zeus and Arch of Hadrian. Next, your Local Expert takes you to the Parthenon, built atop the Acropolis. See the Temple of Athena Nike, also known as the Temple of the Wingless Victory, and the six stone-carved caryatids that make up the Porch of the Maidens on the Erechtheion. Later, head back to your hotel where the rest of the day is free.

Day 3: MAY 15, 2020, ATHENS TO OLYMPIA

In the morning, we join a Local Expert in Corinth to explore an ancient city that several empires fought over throughout the centuries. Then your travels continue to Olympia where dinner is served at your hotel.

Meals: Breakfast, Dinner with Wine

Day 4: MAY 16, 2020, ANCIENT OLYMPIA

It’s all in the name. Ancient Olympia is the site where the Ancient Olympic Games began in 776 B.C. in dedication to the god Zeus. See the Temple of Zeus, the athletes’ gymnasium and the stadium of Olympia. The starting and finishing markers for the sprint track are still marked by stones and there is time to capture your own memory with a photo at the starting line. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Travel to the elegant town of Nafplio, known for its beautiful architecture, colorful shops and cafes. Later, meet the artisans and view beautiful works of art at a family-run pottery studio. Your journey continues following the shores of the Saronic Gulf to pass the Corinth Canal dividing the Peloponnesse and mainland Greece, and arriving in Athens.

Transfer to Piraeus and board the Aegean ferry. Your first stop is Mykonos, popular with the rich and famous. Transfer to your hotel where you will be given an orientation. Spend the rest of the day exploring this magical island. Houses, shops, churches, restaurants and windmills are immaculately whitewashed, with splashes of sky blue and jade green bringing color to door frames and window shutters, many of which are overhung with dazzling pink and purple blossoms.
Hotel: Royal Myconian or similar, 2 nights
Meal: Buffet Breakfast

Day 7: MAY 19, 2020, MYKONOS FREE TIME

This day is completely at leisure. Explore the town with its winding maze of walkways, white-washed houses, magnificent windmills and uninhibited nightlife. Perhaps watch the sunset at Shirley Valentine Beach or take a short boat ride to Delos?

Your holiday continues with a ferry ride south across the Aegean to the beautiful island of Santorini, your home for the next two nights. You are met at the port and transferred to your hotel where you will be given an orientation.
Hotel: Costa Grand or similar, 2 nights
Meal: Buffet Breakfast


With a free full day on one of the most romantic islands on earth, you won’t ever want to leave. Relax in clifftop restaurants, laze on the sun-soaked beaches or observe history unearthed at the site of Akrotiri. In the evening, you’ll witness the golden sunset for which the island is famous.

Day 10: MAY 22, 2020, FLIGHT TO ATHENS

In the morning, maybe take one last dip in the pool and grab your final glimpse over the lustrous Aegean and world-famous caldera. You are transferred to the airport for your return flight to Athens. Tonight, enjoy a hearty Celebration Dinner in true Greek style, complete with wine and good cheer.

Day 11: MAY 23, 2020, DEPART ATHENS

Your Grecian odyssey comes to an end with one group transfer to Athens airport. Private transfers for a fee can also be arranged.
