Master of Science in Exercise Physiology (MEXP) 3+2 Direct Admission
High school students may qualify for the accelerated 3+2 completion option (three years of undergraduate study and two years of graduate study) if they satisfy all MEXP application requirements. Prerequisite coursework, major and general education requirements must be completed by the end of the junior year of undergraduate study in order to advance into year one of the graduate MEXP program in the senior year.
During their freshman, sophomore, and junior years at the university, direct admission students earn credits toward their undergraduate degree in Exercise Science. Direct admission students earn their bachelor’s degree at the end of the fourth year of study and a Master of Science in Exercise Physiology degree at the end of the fifth year.
High School Requirements
- 1 year of high school biology with a grade of C- or better
- 1 year of high school algebra 2 with a grade of C- or better
- Other suggested courses include chemistry, physics, anatomy and physiology, calculus, Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate or early college courses

- Submit the following items to complete the application process:
- High school transcript through the sixth semester
- Senior class schedule (recommended)
