Carroll University’s K-12 Cross-Categorical Special Education License offers a fast and convenient pathway for currently licensed educators to add this important and highly demanded set of skills. Candidates adding the Cross Categorical Special Education license will need:

Carroll’s unique four-course sequence is completed in just six months. In this hybrid program, classes meet one day per month and include participation in iSummit20 (July 27 – 29, 2020).

The 12-credit program consists of 4 three-credit graduate education courses:

  • EDU530: Diagnostic Assessment and Evaluation in Cross Categorical Special Education
  • EDU534: Language Development and Disorders
  • EDU564: Collaboration for Academic, Career, and Social Development for Students with Disabilities
  • EDU572: Methods in Cross Categorical Special Education
