Alternative Education Certification (#952)
Improve learning for students in non-tradtional environments
This program provides the competencies teachers need to qualify for the alternative education license certificate (#952). Effective July 1, 1996, this early adolescent certification is required by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction for all teachers who teach students in non-traditional environments.
The following courses provides the competencies for this #952 certificate:
- EDU653: Rethinking "At Risk" Students - Creating Promise (3 credits)
- EDU655: Families in Society (3 credits)
- EDU657: Pedagogy for Alternative Learning Environments (3 credits)
- EDU683: Graduate Internship in Education (1 to 3 credits)
