Global Studies Issues Emphasis

The issues-driven emphasis allows you to focus on any number of pressing contemporary geopolitical issues. In addition to core courses in political systems, global politics, globalization and research methods, you may choose to study environmental sustainability, international conflict and security, global health, international law, the history and place of non-Western societies in the making of the modern world and the rise and functioning of non-governmental organizations.

In addition, several classes in the program may change their focus from semester to semester, zeroing in on specific current events and issues, and may be repeated for credit.
