Early Childhood Education minor

This minor, combined with an elementary education major, will prepare you to teach pre-kindergarten through grade six (early childhood through middle childhood level). In addition to the core coursework in the elementary education major, which explores the role of schools, developmental psychology, literacy, assessments, planning and the like, this minor examines early childhood issues such as the home, school and community relationship, the development of social, emotional and physical skills and young children with exceptional needs.
