Biography

Dr. Jamie Krzykowski earned her Ph.D. in Holistic Nutrition in 2009, attained a certified sports nutritionist certification in 2012 and earned a Therapeutic Nutrition Counselor certification in 2015. Dr. Krzykowski has enjoyed being an athletic trainer since 1997 in various settings such as college, high school, youth sports, sports medicine physician office and outpatient clinic, as well as at a regional trauma center. Through those experiences, she has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience working with diverse populations of people and injuries across the lifespan. Dr. Krzykowski has also been a college professor in athletic training, kinesiology and exercise science since 1998.

She began teaching as an adjunct lecturer at Carroll University in 2006 and joined as a full-time faculty member in 2008. The interdisciplinary nature of the health science programs was an attractive feature of the Human Movement Sciences department here at Carroll. Dr. Krzykowski appreciates the opportunity to collaborate with faculty across health science disciplines and believes it to be the greatest strength of the College of Health Sciences. Her special interests include exercise as medicine and nutrition as medicine. 

Aside from work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Mark, and daughters Savannah, Sydney and Serena. Dr. Krzykowski is also a fitness and nutrition enthusiast.
