What is your teaching style?

My teaching style begins and ends with respect for the profession of physical therapy, the program in physical therapy, and the student. I am constantly looking for ways to engage the student while also challenging them to reach their full potential as a physical therapy student and future clinician.

Why do you do what you do?

I have a love for learning and for helping people. The practice of physical therapy continually challenges clinicians to re-evaluate and examine the best-practices that will optimize a patient’s care, while also providing unique opportunities to develop relationships with patients that are mutually fulfilling.

How do you make learning engaging?

I try to engage students by sharing my personal experiences, utilizing technology that provides real-time opportunities for assessment and case presentations, with occasional — and often times failed — attempts at humor.

What should students know about you?

God, Family, Badgers!
