Carroll University has received a $300,000 gift from the Mead Witter Foundation. The generous donation increases the Mead Witter Foundation Endowed Scholarship Fund to more than $1.3 million. The fund provides perpetual support to traditional, full-time undergraduate students with strong academic merit and financial need from the Wisconsin Rapids region or rural northern Wisconsin areas. The Mead Witter Foundation Endowed Scholarship Fund was established at Carroll in 2007 with an initial gift of $1 million. In addition to the endowed scholarship fund, the foundation has been a long-time supporter of the university, providing annual support for student scholarships as well as a monetary gift to the university in 1999 to add a reading room in the Todd Wehr Memorial Library.
