Dr. Scott E. Hendrix, associate professor of history, recently completed work on co-editing The World's Greatest Religious Leaders: How Religious Figures Helped Shape World History, which he worked on with Uchenna Okeja of Rhodes University in South Africa. Hendrix and Okeja brought together a team of over 100 authors from around the world to write entries on 159 of the world's most influential religious leaders throughout history. Hendrix wrote 14 of the entries, detailing religious leaders ranging from Thomas Aquinas in the Catholic tradition to Gregory Palamas from Eastern Orthodox Christianity.

Not only was Dr. Hendrix able to gather talented authors from around the world, he was also able to bring together talents from across Carroll's own campus. These contributors include: Dr. Massimo Rondolino, assistant professor of philosophy, Dr. Pascale Engelmajer, assistant professor of religious studies, Dr. James Grimshaw, chair of the department of history, politics and religious studies and Chris May, who has since left Carroll. A former student for Dr. Hendrix, Kyle Kirchhoff, was also given the chance to write a few entries. Kyle recently earned his M.Div (Masters of Divinity) from Princeton Theological Seminary.
