2012-2013 Scholarships
Academic Scholarship - Transfer Students
Transfer students without previous Carroll University acceptance are eligible for one of two merit scholarships:
- EXCEL SCHOLARSHIP* - Renewable scholarship of $8,000 per year.
Qualifications: Awarded to full-time students transferring into Carroll who have a cumulative GPA between 2.8 and 4.0 for all previous post-secondary work.
- FOUNDERS SCHOLARSHIP* - Renewable scholarship of $7,500 per year.
Qualifications: Awarded to full-time students transferring into Carroll who have a cumulative GPA between 2.5 and 2.79 for all previous post-secondary work.
NOTE: Transfer Students enrolled in their first semester of college elsewhere, who had received a previous Carroll University acceptance and scholarship award, will have their initial award honored.
A student is eligible for only one of these scholarships and it will be awarded at time of acceptance to Carroll University. Scholarship amounts do not increase from year to year.
Academic Scholarship - Nontraditional Students
Nontraditional Students who have been out of high school one year or less may be eligible for traditional student scholarship amounts based upon high school academic record. See traditional student scholarship amounts.
Nontraditional Students who have been out of high school more than one year may be eligible for transfer student scholarship amounts based upon high school academic record.
A student is eligible for only one of these scholarships and it will be awarded at time of acceptance to Carroll University. Scholarship amounts do not increase from year to year.
Academic Scholarship - Previous Bachelor's Degree Students
Students seeking a second bachelor's degree, education-certification, or completing prerequisite work for a graduate program with full-time enrollment status will be eligible for the Old Main Scholarship, which provides one-third tuition discount. Previous bachelor degree students are not eligible for the additional scholarships or awards. The Old Main Scholarship is awarded at time of acceptance to Carroll University. The one-third tuition discount does not increase from year to year.

A student may be eligible for an academic scholarship, additional scholarship and an additional award.
Unless otherwise noted, scholarships are renewable each year as long as the student maintains full-time undergraduate status or is enrolled full-time pursuing a second bachelor's degree, education-certification or prerequisite work for graduate school application.
Please note that these scholarships represent a portion of a student's total aid award. Our Offices of Admission and Financial Aid look forward to working with students throughout Carroll's financial aid process. We are confident that by working together, we can make a Carroll University education affordable.
