Financial Aid Eligibility
 
  • To be eligible for federal and state aid:
    • Be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
    • Be registered with Selective Service, if male.
    • Demonstrate financial need, as determined by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), if applying for need-based aid.
    • Be enrolled at least half-time, 6 credits, (audited, repeated and other non-credit classes do not apply.) Grants may be available to high need students enrolled less than half-time contingent on federal funding.
    • Be working toward a degree or an approved certificate at Carroll University.
    • Be making satisfactory academic progress (SAP).
    • Not be in default on any loan or owe a refund on any grant made under Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended, at any institution.
  • For Carroll University aid: All of the above items required for federal and state aid.
    • Be accepted to Carroll University (if full-time).
    • File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
  • If you do not want to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), you can still be awarded your Carroll scholarships. Simply inform your Admissions counselor or the Financial Aid Office that you wish to be considered a merit only student.
