INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION

Carroll’s Creative and Professional Writing Program is interdisciplinary, which means that students can study writing while pursuing coursework in any other area. By focusing on writing and speaking skills, major and minors learn to communicate effectively in a variety of contexts. They also learn to select the best media and form for the job, whether it’s an annual report, a short story, or a multimedia presentation.

Students who develop effective writing skills may find employment as:

  • Authors
  • Editors
  • Technical Writers
  • Fundraising and Development Professionals
  • Market Analysts
  • Lawyers
  • Media Specialists

Carroll’s award-winning and nationally-recognized writing faculty advise students throughout their time at Carroll and during the early stages of their careers. They have recently published poetry collections, articles and blogs for Salon and The New York Times, and scholarly surveys of media and popular culture.
