Theatre Arts facility
The Otteson Theatre is a fully equipped proscenium theatre. Two performance spaces, a mainstage theatre seating 150 and a more intimate Studio Theatre seating 50, are complemented by production shops, offices and classrooms. These theatres give students the advantage of experiencing proscenium, thrust, arena or experimental stage configurations. A state-of-the-art lighting system was installed in 1999. Recent funding provided by the Cordelia Pierce Hedges bequest has allowed for continual updating of other equipment, including all new seating in 2004, renovation of the lobby in 2008 and the addition of a new vestibule in 2010.
