Welcome

Knowledge of political science is a necessary prerequisite for today’s university students in an ever-changing globalizing society. Courses are tailored to provide students with substantive knowledge in their chosen fields of study – from public policy and constitutional law to US foreign policy and politics of developing nations – and to equip them with necessary analytical and critical thinking skills, oral and written communication abilities, and an awareness of, and sensitivity to, cultures, perspectives, rationales and objectives different from their own – all of which are fundamental to liberal arts education.

Our graduates go on to attend graduate school or professional school, or enter careers in a wide range of fields, including federal, local or state government, nonprofit management, business, journalism and politics.
