Pete Lange has been teaching instrumental and vocal music at Catholic Memorial High School since 2009. Pete earned his bachelor’s degree in general engineering in 1990 at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, where he also studied music education. He is completing his bachelor’s degree in music education at Carroll University, where he is an adjunct lecturer in the Music Department, leading the Carroll Jazz Ensemble. Pete worked in the homebuilding industry from 1990 until 2009, in roles from customer service manager to vice president of sales and marketing. At Catholic Memorial High School, he leads Concert Band, Jazz Band, CMH Chorale, and Show Choir, as well as teaching Introduction to business. Pete has experience as an actor, singer and trumpeter, and he performs regularly in the Milwaukee-Waukesha area. He was vocal director for Catholic Memorial’s productions of “White Christmas” (2010), “Guys and Dolls” (2011), “State Fair” (2012), and the Waukesha Civic Theatre’s production of “Once on This Island” (2012), in which he also played the role of “Agwe, god of water.” Pete credits his parents, teachers and colleagues for inspiring, nurturing and supporting his lifelong passion for music.
