Jazz Ensemble
The Carroll University Jazz Ensemble is dedicated to excellence in the performance of both traditional and contemporary jazz music. Members of the Jazz Ensemble are given the opportunity and instruction to prepare and perform the highest caliber repertoire from the jazz idiom. All students are given the opportunity to learn and study the art of improvisation and to perform in both big band and small group settings. In 2012, Pete Lange was named director of the Carroll Jazz Ensemble, and is pleased to continue the tradition of pursuing excellence, as the Carroll University Music Department confirms its commitment to creating a truly authentic Jazz performance culture.
