I have enjoyed being an athletic trainer for the past 16 years working in various settings such as colleges, high schools, youth sports, clinics as well as a regional trauma center. During that time I gained a wealth of knowledge and experience working with diverse populations of people and injuries. I have also worked as a faculty member in Athletic Training, Kinesiology and Exercise Science during 13 of those 16 years.
I began teaching as an adjunct lecturer at Carroll University in 2006 and joined as a full-time faculty member in 2008. The interdisciplinary nature of the health science programs was an attractive feature of the Health and Human Movement Sciences department here at Carroll. I appreciate the opportunity to collaborate with faculty across health science disciplines and believe it to be the greatest strength of our department. My special interests include exercise as medicine and nutrition as medicine.
Aside from work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Mark and daughters Savannah, Sydney and Serena. I am also a fitness and nutrition enthusiast.
