Welcome
Imaging techniques are important to health care. One aspect of imaging is diagnostic medical sonography or ultrasound. Diagnostic medical sonographers could specialize in abdominal, neurologic, ob/gyn or ophthalmic ultrasound. Diagnostic cardiac sonography and vascular technology are other subspecialties in this field.
Carroll University has partnered with Aurora Health Care to create a 2+2 program for students interested in pursuing a career in diagnostic medical sonography. The student's first two years will be spent at Carroll University taking Liberal Studies Program, General Education and prerequisite courses. The last two years would be spent at Aurora's school of DMS and a clinical site.
The 2+2 program between Carroll University and Aurora Health Care allows the student to earn a certificate in Diagnostic Medical Sonography and a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences: Diagnostic Medical Sonography. This B.S. degree gives the sonographer many more career choices than the certificate alone. Interested students should contact Carroll University's 2+2 Health Sciences adviser for more information.
