Welcome

Carroll University has always been at the cutting edge of the rich and rewarding field of information technology. Graduates of our computer science program are enjoying the rewards of what Money Magazine has found to be the number one best job in America, software engineering. Recent reports show that there are more IT jobs now than there were at the height of the IT boom. The Computer Science program provides an opportunity to learn the latest technologies, including Linux, Apache, Oracle and Microsoft, as well as learn the craft of software engineering.

The Computer Science program is grounded in the liberal arts tradition, balances theory and practice, and focuses on the problem solving skills necessary for lifelong learning in a field characterized by rapid technological change. We succeed in our mission by preparing our students through classroom work and appropriate external internships to secure fulfilling careers in the field of their choosing.
