Communication Skills Are Life Skills
The study of human communication prepares students for success in an increasingly complex and interconnected world. Employers consistently rank communication among the most highly valued skills in the workplace.
Carroll’s Communication Program offers a major with four emphases, as well as two minors, to prepare students for careers in print and broadcast journalism, social media, public relations, advertising, teaching, management and human resources, and for advanced study in graduate school. Our majors gain theoretical knowledge and practical experience through coursework, internships, volunteer opportunities and participation in campus organizations. The flexibility of the communication major allows students to double major and still graduate in four years.
The communication faculty possess strong academic and professional credentials, and maintain a strong network of communication alumni who assist current students with career planning and preparation. The faculty take great pride in the personalized attention we give students.
