The Otto-Davies Fellowship Program
In recognition of the strong programs in computer science, mathematics and the sciences at Carroll University and the continuing need for outstanding graduates in these areas, Dr. Bruce and Evelyn Otto (alumni of 1958) and Carroll established the OTTO-DAVIES FELLOWSHIP in 1994. These fellowships are intended to recognize and support outstanding students majoring in the selected disciplines during their undergraduate studies. This combination of a strong disciplinary preparation within the context of the liberal arts program will help provide our nation and world with graduates possessing the knowledge, perspective and sensitivity necessary to address tomorrow’s challenges.
The STaR Scholar Program
The Science, Technology and Research Scholar Program is sponsored by a National Science Foundation grant intended to support outstanding students majoring in biology, chemistry or biochemistry. The program combines financial support with rigorous academic courses and off-campus educational opportunities such as internships, field trips and travel to scientific meetings. The combination of a strong disciplinary preparation within the context of a liberal arts program will help provide our nation and world with graduates who have the knowledge, perspective and sensitivity to address tomorrow’s challenges. Up to 10 new students will be selected annually to participate in the program.
