I joined the Carroll faculty in 2004 and recently joined the Physician Assistant Program faculty. I began my career as a medical technologist specializing in immunohematolgy. After working as the bone marrow transplant coordinator for the Blood Center of Southeastern Wisconsin, I pursued a doctorate in physiology.

While at Carroll, I have established a robust research history focusing on the effects of endocrine disruptors on the female reproductive system. I am well published and have presented extensively at numerous national conferences. I extend my research expertise to undergraduate students – I have mentored seven Pioneer Scholar research students who have presented research at national conferences and submitted manuscripts for publication. In 2012, I received the Benjamin F. Richardson Jr. Faculty Award for excellence in teaching, research and educational innovation.

I have extensive expertise in curriculum assessment and have served on the university’s Assessment Committee for eight years. I played a pivotal role in the institution of Carroll’s Phi Kappa Phi Chapter, of which I am president-elect. I also am a reviewer for several anatomy and physiology textbooks.
Service to Carroll University or the Profession:
PCAC—Assessment Committee (2006-present)
Anatomy and Physiology Curriculum Coordinator
Student Society Advisor—Physician Assistant Program
Phi Kappa Phi Carroll University Mu Chapter—Vice-President and President Elect
Honors and Awards:
Benjamin F. Richardson Jr. Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching, Research, and Educational Innovation (2010)
Pioneer Scholar Grants for Student-Faculty Research (8 grants; 2008-2013)
Biological Honor Society Outstanding Advisor—Northcentral Region (2012)
Faculty Development Grants (6 grants; 2006-2013)
