Welcome

The Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, legislation to make corporate finances more responsible and transparent for financial disclosure, has recasted accountants and auditors as protectors of the public trust.

Today, the accounting major has a dynamic image and was the most recruited group of graduates in 2005.

Carroll University offers two tracks in accounting for students interested in a challenging and growing career.

Track 1 is for students wanting to obtain a position in a corporate or for non-profit organization. Track 2 is for students wanting to meet the state requirement of 150 credit hours for obtaining a CPA accountant designation as preparation for a position in the public, private or governmental sector.

In most cases, the requirements for either Track 1 or Track 2 can be completed within the four-year period as opposed to the traditional five-year period.
