Take Back the Night event at Carroll on Sept. 22
WAUKESHA, WIS.— Take Back the Night, an event that started in the 1970s to bring awareness to the problem of sexual and domestic violence and support those who have been victimized, will be held at Carroll University on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011, at 7 p.m. on the lawn in front of Main Hall, 120 N. East Ave., Waukesha. This event is free and open to the public.
The third annual TBTN is presented by Carroll University Student Affairs, Greek Life and Walter Young Center, and the Waukesha Women's Center. It includes a survivor speak out, a candlelight vigil and a short march around the community. T-shirts will be sold to benefit The Women's Center; monetary donations will also be accepted.
