WAUKESHA, WIS.— All are welcome to the grand opening of Frontier Hall, Carroll University's newest residence hall, located at 210 N. Grand Ave., Waukesha. The event will be Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011, from 4-7 p.m. A ribbon cutting ceremony will be at 4:30 p.m., followed by guided tours from Carroll students. Refreshments will be served.
Parking is available at Frontier Hall and adjacent Pioneer Hall, at 324 W. College Ave.
Frontier Hall was built by Clysmic Properties, owned by Waukesha developers A. William and Alan Huelsman. Clysmic Properties owns both Pioneer Hall and Frontier Hall, co-ed apartment-style residential communities that house residents in gender-specific quad apartments. Each unit has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room and kitchen. Frontier Hall's first floor will contain several retail outlets, including Wisconsin's first Au Bon Pain restaurant. The names of both halls reflect Carroll's history and heritage as Wisconsin's oldest four-year institution of higher education.
