WAUKESHA, WIS. – Seven teams of Carroll University physical therapy graduate students presented abstracts at the American Physical Therapy Association annual conference in Salt Lake City, Utah, this summer. Each team consisted of four students enrolled in Carroll's Doctor of Physical Therapy Program.
APTA officials accepted slightly more than 100 posters from across the nation for presentation; Carroll's contingent represented 7 percent of the total presentations.
Carroll has had 45 student groups accepted to present at the APTA national conference over the past eight years. APTA won't release official information, but it is believed that Carroll has had more student abstracts accepted for presentation than any other college or university in the country for the last four years.
Mark R. Erickson, clinical associate professor of physical therapy, and director of Carroll's Physical Therapy Program, accompanied the students to Salt Lake City.
