WAUKESHA, WIS.— The Humanities and Technology Camp (THATCamp) Wisconsin will be hosted by Carroll University in August 2013 with the theme “Big Ideas, Small Campuses.”
This an open meeting for humanists, technologists and others of all skill levels to collaboratively embrace new technology to stimulate learning and innovative scholarship. The attendee-driven camp will offer hands-on experimentation with digital tools, opportunities to explore new approaches to teaching, and informal networking. Participants will have opportunities to share tools, projects, assignments and other components that have been helpful in their research and the classroom.
THATCamp Wisconsin will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 9, at the Carroll University Center for Graduate Studies, 2140 Davidson Rd., Waukesha. Refreshments, lunch and a T-shirt will be provided. This event is supported by Carroll’s Center for Educational Technology and Innovation and the College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
