WAUKESHA, WIS.— An Empty Bowls dinner will be held at Carroll University on Saturday, April 6, 2013, to increase awareness of hunger in the community. The dinner will begin at 6 p.m. in the Main Dining Room of the Campus Center, 101 N. East Ave., Waukesha.
The event, which includes a silent auction, is $15 adults and $5 students/children. It includes a simple soup dinner and choice of a handmade bowl to keep. All proceeds will benefit the Hunger Task Force of Milwaukee and the Children's Hunger Relief Fund.
The dinner is presented by Carroll’s Apartments and Houses Residence Life staff, and is open to the public.
