Carroll art show includes two award winners

WAUKESHA, WIS.— An exhibit of drawings, prints and photographs by members of the Milwaukee Area Teachers of Art will run through Feb. 9 in Carroll University’s Marceil Pultorak Atrium Gallery of Humphrey Art Center, 238 N. East Ave., and in Main Hall, 120 N. East Ave., Waukesha.

The exhibit includes award-winning pieces by two Carroll faculty members – Amy Cropper, associate professor of art, and Philip Krejcarek, professor of art.

Cropper won Honorable Mention for “Untitled 1.”

Krejcarek won Best of Show for "Rosalind and the Real Girl."

The exhibit was juried by Valerie Christell, an adjunct art professor at Alverno College. It features a memorial tribute to Carol Rowan, a renowned pastel artist and retired art teacher in the West Allis School District who died Nov. 2, 2012.

Gallery visits are free and open to the public. For more information, visit www.milwaukeeareateachersofart.com.
