WAUKESHA, WIS.— “Out in Left Field” by Peggy Thurston Farrell, associate professor of art at Carroll University, was selected for the juried “Watercolor Wisconsin” exhibit at Racine Art Museum’s Wustum Museum, 2519 Northwestern Ave., Racine.
“Watercolor Wisconsin” is a statewide competition organized by the museum annually since 1966. An opening reception and awards ceremony will be 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012. The show will be displayed through April 27, 2013. Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, closed for federal holidays and Easter. Admission and parking are free.
Jurors of “Watercolor Wisconsin 2012” were Richard A. Born, senior curator at the David and Alfred Smart Museum of Art at the University of Chicago, and Jessica J. Caddell, executive director of the Freeport Art Museum in Illinois.
