"The Mystery of Edwin Drood" performed by Carroll Players

WAUKESHA, WIS.— The Carroll Players will perform "The Mystery of Edwin Drood" by Rupert Holmes Nov. 16-17, 2012. Shows will be Friday at 7 p.m., and Saturday at 2 and 7 p.m. in Otteson Theatre, 238 N. East Ave., Waukesha. "The Mystery of Edwin Drood" is a fun-filled, choose-your-own-ending musical based on the Charles Dickens unfinished masterpiece of the same name. The musical takes us right to the point that Dickens stopped writing and then asks the audience to decide the identity of the killer. It was nominated for 11 Tony Awards, winning five, including Best Musical, Best Score, Best Book and Best Direction.
This production is directed and choreographed by James Zager, associate professor of theatre arts; with vocal direction by Jill Anna Ponasik, managing artistic director of Milwaukee Opera Theatre; costumes by Cecelia Mason-Kuenn, Carroll’s costume supervisor; set and props by Sarah Hamilton, Carroll’s scenic supervisor; and lights by Jonathan Fuchs, a professional guest lighting designer.
