WAUKESHA, WIS.— The Youth Wind Orchestra of Wisconsin will perform at Carroll University on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at 8 p.m. in Shattuck Music Center, 218 N. East Ave., Waukesha. This event is free and open to the public.

The 45-piece ensemble is led by Lawrence Dale Harper, professor of music, and Andrew Hacker, a 2010 Carroll graduate and band director at Waukesha South High School. Featured pieces include “Pageant of London” by Frank Bridge, “Metro Gnome” by Derek Bourgeosis, “Benediction” by John Stevens, “Shenandoah” by Frank Ticheli, and “Black River Overture” by Thomas Doss. This unique ensemble consists of highly motivated and talented high school students from all over the state of Wisconsin.
