WAUKESHA, WIS.— Wis Guthrie, professor emeritus of art at Carroll University, has donated an assemblage titled “Hidden Witch” to the Waukesha Public Library Community Art Collection. A reception on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, begins at 10 a.m. at the library, 321 Wisconsin Ave. This event is free and open to the public. Guthrie’s art will be on permanent display.
Guthrie, a native of Legrand, Iowa, earned bachelor’s and
master’s degrees in art from the University of Iowa. He taught art at Carroll University from 1946 to 1983.
