Carroll University Homecoming will be Sept. 28-30

WAUKESHA, WIS.— Carroll University will celebrate its Homecoming and Reunions Sept. 28-30, 2012. The event will include activities for alumni and friends of the university, a football game and a parade. Friday activities include gatherings for reunion classes.

On Saturday, Sept. 29, Barstow Street will be closed from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. from just south of Schneider Stadium to just south of Cook Street.

The parade, which will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, will follow this route from lineup on Martin and South streets: south on Barstow Street from South Street, east on Wisconsin Avenue, south on East Avenue, west on College Avenue and north on Barstow Street. The parade will end at Barstow and Cook streets, just north of Carroll's Schneider Stadium.

The Pioneers football team will take on the Foresters of Lake Forest College at 3 p.m. at Schneider Stadium. Tickets at the gate are $6 adults, and $4 seniors and children 12 and younger.

A tailgate party in the parking lot on the east side of Barstow Street just south of the railroad tracks will feature local band The LoveMonkeys from noon-2:30 p.m. Hamburgers and hot dogs, snacks and beverages from Pioneer Pete’s Pit Stop will be available for purchase.

Additionally, two art exhibits feature mixed media work by alumni. “Drawn from Life: Three Art Alumni” is on display in Main Hall, with a reception from 10-11 a.m. An Art Alumni Group Exhibition is in the Marceil Pultorak Atrium Gallery of Humphrey Art Center. That reception will be from 11 a.m.-noon.
