Carroll University announces March and April arts events

WAUKESHA, WIS.— Carroll University announces its arts events for March and April 2012. All events are free, unless otherwise indicated. Tickets can be purchased through the Carroll University Box Office, 262.524.7633. For a complete calendar listing of all 2011-2012 arts events, visit carrollu.edu.

To March 17 Brock Rumohr, ceramic sculptures, Rowe Art Gallery; reception Thursday, Feb. 23, 6-8 p.m., Gallery closed March 3-11.

March 2 Youth Wind Orchestra of Wisconsin, 8 p.m., Shattuck Music Center; $5 adults, $3 students and seniors 60 and older

March 17 Jazz Ensemble with Jazz Express, 7:30 p.m., Shattuck Music Center; $8 adults, $5 students and seniors 60 and older

March 23- 24 “The Laramie Project” by the Carroll Players, Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., Otteson Theatre; $10 adults, $5 seniors/Carroll parents/Carroll alumni, free for any student with a valid ID

March 25-April 15 Senior Art Majors Thesis Exhibition, mixed media, Rowe Art Gallery; reception Sunday, March 25, 3-5 p.m. Gallery closed April 6-8.

Carroll Art Student Union Spring Exhibition, juried, Marceil Pultorak Atrium Gallery; reception Thursday, March 29, 4-6 p.m., awards ceremony 4 p.m. Gallery closed April 6-8.

April 1 Wind Symphony, 4 p.m., Shattuck Music Center; $8 adults, $5 students and seniors 60 and older

April 12-14 “Ann…: A Reintroduction to Antigone” by the Carroll Players, Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m., Otteson Theatre
