WAUKESHA, WIS.— Carroll University's choirs will perform on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012. The concert will begin at 8 p.m. in the Shattuck Music Center, 218 N. East Ave., Waukesha. Tickets are $8 adults, $3 students and seniors 60 and over. Tickets are available at the door starting at 7 p.m., or call the box office at 262.524.7633.
The Concert Choir, Vocal Collective and Women’s Ensemble will perform music inspired by water in support of Carroll’s Year of Water theme. Some of the songs include “Shall We Gather at the River” by Aaron Copland and “Bridge Over Troubled Water” by Simon and Garfunkel. The Concert Choir and Vocal Collective are directed by Kristina Boerger, associate professor of music, and the Women's Ensemble is directed by Kari Doepke.
This event is part of the university’s yearlong exploration of WATER: the essential element of life on earth, an interdisciplinary-themed series that will explore our relationships with water on personal, regional and global levels. During the 2011-2012 academic year, the Carroll community will examine how water informs cultural, environmental, spiritual, economic and political issues.
