WAUKESHA, WIS.— Carroll University’s Black Student Union will host its annual Soul Food Dinner on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012, at 5 p.m. The event is in the Stackner Ballroom in the upper level of the Campus Center, 101 N. East Ave., Waukesha. Free and open to the public; donations will be accepted.
The first of two keynote speakers is the Honorable Judge Marc Whiten of the New York City Criminal Court. Whitten received his Bachelor of Science degree from Carroll University in 1977 and his Juris Doctor degree from New York Law School. The second keynote speaker is Lt. Mahlon Mitchell, the youngest and first African American President of the Professional Fire Fighters of Wisconsin. The PFFW represents 57 local departments and nearly 3,000 firefighters across the state.
