Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra to perform at Carroll

March 11, 2004

          WAUKESHA, WIS.— The Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra will perform at Carroll College on Wednesday, March 31, 2004, at 7:30 p.m. in the Shattuck Music Center auditorium, 218 N. East Ave., Waukesha. 

            The MSO will perform Mendelssohn's "Violin Concerto in E minor" with soloist Assistant Concertmaster Jeanyi Kim.  Additional works will include Wagner's "Siegfried Idyll," Humperdinck's Prelude to "Hansel and Gretel" and Brahms' "Variations on a Theme by Haydn." Paul Haas will be conducting.

            A pre-concert talk back, hosted by Jeanyi Kim, will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Dorothy Goff Frisch Recital Hall, Shattuck Music Center.  The talk back is free and open to the public.

            Tickets for the concert are $28 and $35 and can be purchased through the Milwaukee Symphony Box Office at 1-800-291-7605.
