CONGRATULATIONS!

As you end your days at Carroll University and take those first steps beyond, many exciting opportunities and challenges will come your way. These pages include all the things graduates, families and friends will need to know about Commencement, including your preparation for graduation, a calendar of events, how to find campus, where to stay (for out-of-town guests), and more.

  • Commencement Ceremony
    Commencement is the ceremony at which degrees are conferred. It is an occasion of great significance to graduates, families and friends, and a formal recognition of academic achievements. Attendance is expected.
     
  • Baccalaureate
    Baccalaureate is the nondenominational worship service at which graduates are honored.
     
  • Degrees and Honors
    Information about Conferring of Degrees, Diplomas, and Honors at Commencement.
     
  • Tickets
    No tickets are required for Baccalaureate or the outdoor Commencement ceremony. Seating is reserved for faculty and graduates, and first-come, first-served for general admission family and guests.
     
  • Inclement Weather Plan
    The university will monitor the weather closely and will make a decision by 10 a.m. on Sunday, May 11, as to the site of the Commencement ceremony. If the sun is shining, note that there is not much shade on Main Lawn. If the weather forecast is for "occasional showers," the ceremony will be held outdoors. Please plan accordingly.
     
  • Commencement Brunch
    An all-you-care-to-eat buffet will be between the Baccalaureate and Commencement ceremonies.
     
  • Special Accommodations / Accessibility
    Find information for graduates and guests needing accommodations related to a disability.
     
  • Parking & Transportation
    How to get to Commencement, including information on shuttle services and maps of our campus parking lots.
     
  • Hotels
    Carroll is pleased to partner with area hotels that offer discounts to Carroll alumni and friends.
     
  • Graduation Fair
    Take care of many graduation needs all in one place.
     
  • Academic Regalia
    Deadline for ordering caps and gowns is March 25, 2014.
     
  • Photographs, Gifts & Refreshments
    All of your Commencement day needs, including ceremony photographs, flowers, refreshments, Carroll spirit wear and more.
