| Betty Williams, a Carroll College graduate, class of 62', was a devoted school teacher and Waukesha community icon. Throughout her life she built a personal collection of Mother Goose tales and memorabilia in which she shared with the community. One way Betty shared her love of poetry was by dressing up in her Mother Goose dress and reading to children at area schools. |
In 2002, Betty Williams graciously donated her Mother Goose collection to the Carroll University Library. The donation consisted of more than 600 unique and rare Mother Goose tales varying in years and languages.
 |
| Her donation also included several stuffed geese toys as well as other Mother Goose memorabilia. |
