Math Center
All requests for assistance with math during the summer terms should be submitted on a Tutor Request Form (link below). A staff member will contact you in 1-2 working days to connect you with a peer educator.
The Math Center is located in the Learning Commons. Math Center assistants help students as they
prepare for quizzes and tests, complete
assignments, and learn new concepts
in their classes. Drop-ins are welcome - the staff enjoys tutoring a variety of math courses.
If you are unable to meet with a math assistant due to a conflict in schedule or if you need a tutor for a math class not mentioned above, please fill out a Tutor Request Form and email to lcommons@carrollu.edu or return it to the Academic Resources Desk in the Learning Commons. Every effort will be made to match you with a math assistant, but there is no guarantee one will be available. Requesting a math assistant early in the semester increases the likelihood that your request will be filled.
Supported courses include MAT 098, 101, 130, 140, 160, and 161. Students working on math-intensive course content (scientific calculations, for example) are also welcome to visit a Math Center assistant, but support is not guaranteed.
Please check the whiteboard in the Learning Commons or call the Academic Resources Desk (262-524-7313) for the most current information as hours can change at any time. |
