Explore Carroll University

Pioneers are proud of our Carroll University community. 85% of Carroll students live on or within our campus community. Because of this, your friends and classmates will live, study, eat, and play in the same locations that you do. As an international student this means that Carroll University will truly feel like your home away from home.

Our campus features seamless transitions between historic academic buildings, state-of-the-art research facilities, and modern residence halls. Carroll is located in a historic residential area of Waukesha, Wisconsin (population 71,000); just minutes outside of Milwaukee, and only two hours north of Chicago. We are uniquely positioned to provide students with access to an array of internships, clinical and student teaching opportunities as well as cultural and recreational activities.

For many of our international students, your first visit to our campus will be when you join us for International Student Orientation as you start your studies at Carroll. We know you will be surprised by our beautiful campus and welcoming community. Here are a few ways to explore our community before you arrive:

  • Take a video tour of our campus
  • View our on-campus housing options
    • Video tours of each facility available
  • Discover Waukesha, Wisconsin - home of the Carroll University Pioneers!
    • Birth place of Les Paul, inventor of the solid-body electric guitar
    • Short 10 minute walk from campus to unique restaurants, shops, and entertainment options
    • In 2012, ranked in the top 100 for "Best Communities in the United States for Young People" (America's Promise Alliance) and "100 Best Places to Live" (Money Magazine)
  • Explore Milwaukee - Wisconsin's largest city
    • Less than 30 minutes from Carroll's campus
    • Rated one of the top 15 emerging downtowns in the United States in 2013 (Forbes.com)
    • Home of "The World's Largest Music Festival" - Summerfest!

If you are fortunate enough to be able to visit our campus, we would be delighted to meet with you. You may schedule an individual visit or attend an open house. As campus visits are typically ran out of Carroll University's Admissions Office, please also email international@carrollu.edu to let us know of your plans so that we can welcome you to Carroll's Office of International Education as well!
