Student Scholarly Travel Program Application Process

To be considered for university support to present at an academic conference, the following items must be submitted for review:

  • Submit an application
  • Provide an abstract of the project to be presented
  • Provide a one-page copy of the "schedule-at-a-glance" for the conference agenda
  • Provide a full-time faculty endorsement (A full-time faculty member must indicate support for the travel request by sending an email to cuhonorscenter@carrollu.edu)
This is a very competitive application process and not everyone will be funded. Students will not receive more than a total of $700 in travel grant money during their undergraduate academic career at Carroll. (Additional funding of up to $700 may be awarded if the travel is international). However, students may opt to spending only a portion of their grant money and save for later conferences upon application approval. Students continuing with their graduate studies at Carroll may receive additional travel grant money up to $700 upon application approval. Applications are considered on an ongoing basis, and the committee's goal is to distribute the grants equitably across the academic year.
