Welcome
The Carroll University Department of Education announces a new School Leadership program. Successful completion of the School Leadership program will result in a master's degree in school leadership and the credentials and qualifications to obtain a #51 license, Principal, and a #10 license, Director of Instruction, from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

The program will be delivered through a Learning Community model. The Learning Community is a 33-credit master's degree program in which participants meet together one weekend a month over a 21-month period. The community provides a setting for teaching, learning and reflective practice, culminating in enhanced performance in the workplace and completion of a Master of Education degree from Carroll University. Learning communities are viewed by school leaders as the preferred model as it creates a social, collegial, learning culture which promotes reflective practice leading to deeper understanding and solutions for P-12 schools.

Students may opt to complete the additional license (ONLY) option if they already hold a M.Ed. degree. Students wishing to complete this option should indicate this on their application and registration forms. Students are also required to send an official graduate transcript (in addition to an official undergraduate transcript) to complete the admission process. Students will complete and pay for all courses, with the exception of the four research courses; they must attend all class meetings and participate in the entire program. Students pursuing this option are not eligible to apply for or receive financial aid. Students may choose to seek funding through private or alternative loans.
