Biography:
I have been a faculty member in the Physician Assistant Program at Carroll since its inception in 2011. Prior to arriving at Carroll in 1997 as a biology laboratory instructor, I spent 20 years in laboratory science. I worked two years in the Department of Medical Microbiology and Immunology in Madison, Wis., as a research assistant in a laboratory studying brain viruses.
I transitioned to clinical laboratory science and worked full time for the Wheaton Healthcare lab for 18 years and for another 15 years as a laboratory pool employee. I team-teach the clinical diagnostics courses with Dr. Russell Harland.
I am included as a consultant in the book “Phlebotomy for Health Care Personnel” and as a reviewer in “Rules for Writers.”
