Biography:
I began my health care career as a Recreational Therapist in long-term care. I returned to school to pursue my Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies and graduated with honors in 2002. As a practicing PA I have spent the last 12 years working for a busy single-specialty physician group in gastroenterology. I currently practice in both inpatient and outpatient settings with a group of 10 physicians and was the previous manager of 10 non-physician providers in our group. Additional duties include staff education, development of treatment protocols, precepting Physician Assistant students from various programs, and providing shadowing opportunities for pre-PA students.

Prior to joining the Carroll faculty full-time in July, 2014 I was a course director for the Department of Kinesiology at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, a guest lecturer for the Physician Assistant program at Marquette University, a guest lecturer and adjunct faculty for the Physician Assistant program at Carroll University and served on the admission and interviewing committees for both Marquette and Carroll Universities.

I have continued my interest and involvement in health promotion, training and group exercise over the years and remain a competitive athlete in swimming and triathlon.
