Biography:
I have been the director of Carroll’s Physician Assistant Studies Program since September 2012. I began my career in PA education on the faculty at the University of Colorado Child Health Associate/Physician Assistant Program in 2000, the last four years as associate director – admissions and student life.

In addition to my administrative duties, I have extensive experience in curriculum and assessment development, teaching and small-group instruction. My areas of academic interest include holistic admissions and recruitment, student life, diversity and interprofessional education. I have worked for the last 12 years in general ambulatory pediatrics, where I have enjoyed clinical practice and being a preceptor for MD residents, MD students and PA students on an interprofessional team.

I am reviewer for journal articles that focus on clinical topics related to general pediatrics and PA education. I have served on multiple national committees for 12 years through the Physician Assistant Education Association, as well as nationally funded curriculum steering committees. I have presented many times at national meetings on topics related to admissions, recruitment and diversity.
