Master of Business Administration Admission Information and Requirements

Admission to Carroll University is offered to those for whom academic and personal success seems likely. Each candidate is evaluated individually. Evidence of good character and demonstrated ability to do graduate-level work is essential.

Applications and credentials for admission to the Master of Business Administration Program must be submitted for processing to the Carroll University Office of Admission. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and as decisions are made on applications, applicants are notified through the Office of Admission. Applicants must be eligible to return in good standing (be free of academic or disciplinary probation) to all institutions previously attended.

Please note that at this time the Carroll University MBA Program does not offer scholarships to graduate students.

MBA Program Requirements

Requirements for admission into the Master of Business Administration Program include:

  • Earned Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of all foundational course work (see below for specific foundational course work).

Domestic MBA Admission Process

Applicants must comply with all admission requirements listed above. Selection decisions will be based on submission and evaluation of:

  1. Graduate Studies Online Application
  2. Professional Resume
  3. GMAT or GRE may be required if applicant has a cumulative undergraduate GPA below a 2.75 on a 4.0 scale.
     
    • GRE School Code 1101. Department Code 4201.
    • GMAT full time MBA code KPN-K5-39
    • GMAT part time MBA code KPN-K5-83
  4. All official post-secondary transcripts, including both graduate and undergraduate course work. Official transcripts must be mailed directly to Carroll University Admission Department

International MBA Admission Process

Applicants must comply with all admission requirements listed above. Selection decisions will be based on submission and evaluation of:

  4. All official post-secondary transcripts, including both graduate and undergraduate course work. Official transcripts must be mailed directly to Carroll University Admission Department
  5. If academic work is from outside the USA, an official course by course evaluation report from WES or ECE is required
  6. English Proficiency – If the applicant’s native language is not English, an official proficiency exam (TOEFL or IELTS or MELAB) is required and must be sent directly from the testing agency to Carroll University. The Carroll University institution code is 1101.
    • The minimum required TOEFL score is: 79 (Internet-based test) or 213 (computer-based test) or 550 (paper-based test). The institution code for Carroll University is 1101. The minimum required IELTS score is: 6. The minimum MELAB score is: 85.
    • Score results must be from a test taken within the last two years.
    • Applicants who are citizens of or who have received a bachelor's degree from one of the following countries are exempt from the English proficiency requirement: Australia, Belize, the British Caribbean and British West Indies, Canada (except Quebec), England, Guyana, Ireland, Liberia, New Zealand, Scotland, the United States, and Wales.
  7. Students in F-1 visa status must complete the Statement of Financial Support and submit a Bank Statement
     

MBA Foundational/Prerequisite Course Work

Please see below for the specific courses that are required under each discipline. Carroll course numbers are provided as a guide. Applicants are not required to complete the prerequisite courses at Carroll.

  • An introductory university level statistics course
  • An introductory university level accounting course (financial or managerial)
  • An introductory university level economics course (micro or macroeconomics)
