Master of Education: Community Health Education

Your Focus: The Health & Well-Being for All

Community Health Education is a critical discipline that concerns itself with medical interventions that improve the health of a community. Its activities focus on the entire population rather than the individual patient. The mission is to prepare health related professionals in a global society as effective intercultural communicators to administer, develop, implement, and evaluate Community/Public Health Education programs. Equally important, the program's goal is to develop and prepare future leaders for a variety of volunteer-based public health agencies, medical settings, worksite wellness initiatives and governmental base service programs. This program also meets National Commission criteria above for learning outcomes, thus those who complete the program will be able to demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Assess Individual and Community Needs for Health Education
